Work or not to work

A quick update for those who follow my blog, I have recently been busy with a few things, as you already know I have been studying Czech intensively, also I have been having a few interviews with the companies that I had preliminary interviews with in January and February. So the new news is, Holmes Place are still very interested in me but they have still not progressed very well on the expansion that they are working on. My understanding is that they are hoping to either open a new club if they can find the right site or acquire a club if the right opportunity presents itself. WorldClass (www.worldclass.cz) are the other company and after a long spell of not hearing anything, I have had a further 3 meetings in the last couple of weeks, this is very positive because I have a job offer from them. On Friday I am flying to Sweden to meet the owner and CEO of the company, on Saturday we will visit a couple of the clubs there and I’ll make my presentation. I fly back on Sunday so the rest of the time is mine for sightseeing. Quite exciting I guess because I have never been to Sweden. Yesterday I went to the exchange office and got some Swedish Koruna ready, it is also a small currency, you get 1SEK for 3Kc. Next week I am scheduled to start working, as Operations Manager for CR, my responsibilities will be to oversee the health and fitness business in the CR, moving it forward, expanding with more clubs and implementing systems and processes that are currently not in place.

Last weekend we went to Cesky Krumlov for the Easter break, I love this town, it is small and very old, with beautiful historic buildings small quaint streets and a wonderful atmosphere, we ate, walked and fell in love again and again (a little too poetic I think).

Now I must go and buy a couple more shirts. Cao!!
